Dream photography for dog parents who want their bond honoured forever

Slow, dog-led adventure sessions across Australia.

Slow, Dog-Led Adventure Sessions for Dog Parents who want their bond honoured forever

This isn’t a quick photoshoot or a transactional service.
It’s a slow, intentional experience created for dog parents who know how precious this time is.

The kind of experience you don’t rush.
The kind of artwork you don’t outgrow.
The kind of memories that matter more with time.

Every session is designed around your dog — not a shot list, not a timer, and not a set of expectations.

We choose an environment that suits your dog’s personality and comfort:

  • Forest

  • Beach

  • Urban / city

  • Or the comfort of your own home

Sessions are unhurried and flexible.
We walk, chat, allow your dog to explore, and give them the time they need to settle.

There is no pressure to perform.
No forced poses.
No expectation for “perfect behaviour.”

Just space for connection — and the freedom for real moments to unfold naturally.

Why This Is Different

Most dogs need time to decompress in new environments.
Most people need time to feel comfortable in front of a camera.

That’s why my sessions are intentionally slow.

The first part of our time together isn’t about taking photos — it’s about trust.
Giving your dog space.
Giving you space.

Because the moments that matter most never happen on a strict schedule.

Who This Experience Is For

This experience is for dog mums who:

  • see their dog as family

  • value meaning over convenience

  • care deeply about their dog’s comfort and wellbeing

  • want artwork, not volume

  • understand that time is finite

If you’re looking for quick photos or large galleries for social media, this may not be the right fit — and that’s okay.

This experience is about depth, not speed.

The Artwork

Your final gallery is intentionally curated.

I believe in:

  • quality over quantity

  • cohesive storytelling

  • fine-art editing done slowly and with care

Each image is edited individually — no batch processing, no generic presets.

These aren’t photos designed to be scrolled past.
They’re artwork created to live on your walls, in albums and in your memories for a lifetime.

Travel Sessions

I’m based in Australia and travel regularly for sessions.

If you have a location that feels meaningful — whether close to home or somewhere special — I’d love to hear about it.

Check out our 2026 travel dates here.

I see you. I see your dog.
And I know how much this time matters

Investment

This is a high-touch, intentional experience — created slowly, thoughtfully, and with deep care for both you and your dog.

To keep things simple and flexible, your investment is split into two parts:

  1. Your photoshoot experience

  2. Your chosen artwork collection

This allows you to design an experience that feels right for you.

The Photoshoot Experience

Initial photoshoot fee: $250

This secures your session and covers everything needed to create a calm, meaningful experience from start to finish.

Your photoshoot fee includes:

  • A hand-picked location guide, tailored to your dog’s needs

  • A pre-shoot guide to help you feel prepared and relaxed

  • A 2 hour adventure photoshoot, with no rushing or pressure

  • One 11×14” art mount print, crafted to be cherished

This session is intentionally unhurried and centred around your dog’s comfort — allowing real moments and connection to unfold naturally.

Location & Travel

The $250 session retainer applies to photoshoots within South East Queensland.

For dog adventure sessions outside of South East Queensland, a travel fee will apply.
Travel sessions are available across Australia, with details outlined on the Travel page of the website.

Travel fees are quoted transparently based on location and are confirmed prior to booking.

Investing in Your Artwork

Your photos are designed to live beyond a screen.

After your session, you’ll be invited to choose from a curated range of artwork and digital collections, created to take the guesswork out of deciding what to purchase.

These collections are thoughtfully designed to:

  • Honour your bond

  • Preserve your memories beautifully

  • Ensure your images are enjoyed for years to come

Most clients choose to invest in a collection, with overall investments typically ranging between:

$1,000 – $5,000

A photographer who’s lived this too

I’m Courtney — a dog mum, pet photographer, and someone who deeply understands this bond because I live it.

I’ve loved dogs my entire life.
I’ve raised a velociraptor (I mean puppy)
I’ve owned rescue and reactive dogs.
And I’ve experienced the heartbreak of losing a senior dog.

That lived experience shapes everything about how I photograph.

I know:

  • how important it is to move at your dog’s pace

  • how vulnerable these sessions can feel

  • how meaningful these images become over time

You’re not just booking a photographer.
You’re working with someone who truly gets it.

    — Tori Pologa

  • "I couldn't thank Courtney enough for the amazing photos especially capturing our old boy Billy's last few weeks."

    — Kaylee

  • "Highly recommend the Adventure shoot. My older Vizsla, Amber can be timid with new people but was captivated by Courtney and was very comfortable during the shoot."

    — Bambi Bakker

  • "I told Courtney when booking that Frankie can be a bit reactive ti bigger dogs. On the day there was an off-lead dog who approached and without hesitation Courtney put herself between the off-lead dog and Frankie and prevented an encounter. 10000% recommend booking Courtney."

    Annie Jin

  • "We have had so many photoshoots with Courtraits Photography - all our photos are just magical! My pup Reuben adores you! Reuben and I are looking forward to our next photoshoot!"

    - Loretta Porch

  • "Am forever in awe with the work that Courtraits Photography produces. I love how gentle she is with all animals big and small. Thank you for giving us something we will treasure forever"

    - Maddy Affleck

    - Kylie Wright

  • "Got photos done with my 14 year old baby. Courtney is amazing, she made myself and Bronco feel so at ease and comfortable. By the end of the photoshoot it was like we were saying goodbye to an old friend. She gives your dog just as much love as you do and it shows in the incredible results she gets."
